방출 대기 고우석, 결국 마이애미 마이너 남는다

고우석(26·마이애미 말린스)이 마이너리그 선수로 팀에 남는다.

마이애미 구단은 5일 오전(한국시간) 고우석이 트리플A 잭슨빌로 이관됐다고 발표했다. 이에 따라 고우석은 마이너리그 트리플A 잭슨빌 점보슈프림에 남는다.

앞서 고우석은 구단이 방출 대기(DFA·designated for assignment) 명단에 올랐다. DFA는 선수 방출을 위한 절차로, 구단이 고우석을 올 시즌 확실한 전력감으로 여기지 않는다는 뜻으로 풀이할 수 있다. 당시 마이애미는 텍사스 레인저스에서 투수 숀 앤더슨을 영입했고, 40인 명단에 자리를 만들기 위해 고우석을 DFA 처리한 것으로 알려졌다.

고우석은 5일 이내에 다른 팀에서 영입 의사를 밝히면 트레이드를 통해 이적할 수 있었다. 그러나 고우석을 원하는 팀이 나타나지 않았다. 고우석은 올해 샌디에이고 파드리스와 계약했지만, 지난 5월초 트레이드로 마이애미로 이적했다. 고우석은 트리플A에서 7차례 등판해 1승, 평균자책점 3.00을 유지 중이다.
